These taylormade burner superfast fairway wood specs are phenomenally long. There are several reasons for this, and similar to the driver, it has to do with extended shaft length, lighter components, and above average balance. I would also be remiss if I failed to mention that the aforesaid components are not only lighter. but top shelf quality as well. The Winn Grip is no longer the old "Tayor Made throw away" grip from days gone by. It is a grip that Winn has brought to market with great hooplah as a stand alone product. The shaft weighs an ultra light 48-52 grams depending upon flex. It is a genuine Matrix Ozik shaft that features a softer tip and mid-kickpoint across the entire spectrum. What the shaft also features is an extra 1/2" of length. That makes the 3 Wood come in at a full 43 1/2" of length, or basically, the same length as the old steel shafted persimmon drivers of our not so distant past. Also, similar to the old persimmon drivers, the 3 metal features full 200cc size head. All things being equal--this club is an absolute monster as comapred to the vast majority  of her competition.  Oh yeah---she's just as long as Ol' Betsy, and thanks to the larger head, she sports much more forgiveness and a very large sweet spot to boot.

I feel the need to print some specs simply because I've already read many site's that are reviewing this club, and quoting the exact same mistakes in specifications. The 3 Wood is 15* not 13*. The 5 Wood is 18* not 15*, and the 7 Wood is 21* not 17*. I am sad to see the cribbing of notes, especially erroneous ones, has gotten so out of hand across the internet. It gives a lot of us reviewers a bad name. This particular Matrix Ozik shaft is a Mid-torque shaft--not a low torque shaft. It has a soft tip--not a stiff one, and last but not least, it is a new geometry---not a triangle.
