TaylorMade R11 Driver adjustments

The Adjustable Sole Plate (ASP) technology allows you the option of opening or closing the face angle of the R11 driver by two degrees without changing the loft of the club. After the loft or launch angle of the driver is set with Flight Control Technology, you can tweak the look of the driver at address by rotating the Adjustable Sole Plate.

The TaylorMade R11 Driver adjustments has a 440cc Aero Shape rounded crown to reduce drag and increase club head speed for more distance, six yards longer than the R9 SuperTri. The White non-glare crown and black club face promote easy alignment.
This driver promotes up to 100 yards of side-to-side trajectory change and 1,000 RPM backspin change, giving you consistent power and distance.
The TaylorMade R11 Driver hit the shelves early last month and it is the latest and greatest from the makers of the number one driver in golf. There are three major differences from last years R9 series; the white non-glare club head,  Adjustable Sole Plate (ASP) technology and a smaller 440cc head. With the new ASP technology, TaylorMade has made another step towards a completely adjustable driver.
In the r7 and R9, an aluminum sleeve attached to the shaft, which screwed into the head in a variety of face angles. Not anymore. Now the R11's sleeve has eight settings to increase or decrease the effective loft by as much as one degree.
Face angle is controlled by an adjustable aluminum sole plate. By moving the red triangular plate into the closed, neutral or open position, you can adjust the look at address. The face settings range from 4 degrees open to 4 degrees closed

The TaylorMade R11 Driver specs comes equipped with Movable Weight Technology (MWT), which allows you to tune the driver’s center of gravity to promote a draw or neutral ball flight. With the 10g weight in the heel and the 1g weight in the toe, you’ll get more of a draw bias ball flight. With the 1g weight in the heel and the 10g weight in the toe, R11 generates a more neutral ball flight.

The key to distance is to get the set-up of the club right for you. By tweaking the club - or even better, being fitted to your personal specs - will help you produce 
the best results. There are obvious differences in flight depending on how the club is set. You can set up for a flight that gives you extra run or carry depending on turf conditions and the weather.

TaylorMade R11 Driver Review

The taylormade r11 is a bit of a hit and miss for some people mainly because of the white face.  I don't own this club I just demoed it.  The customization you get on this club is probably the most you can get on any club at the minute which is a plus.  It is nice and forgiving too on off hits and it makes a nice sound.  Distance wise it is what you would expect. It won't go miles further than your current driver but a just a noticeable bit.  I really was put of the white head I really don't like it which for me has put me off buying it.  It attracts soo much unwanted attention and is a distraction to swing.  The stock shaft was ok in it but because the titleist 910 is probably just as good if not better with the better stock shafts and cheaper price I think that may be a better option

The standard shaft in the R11 is the Fujikura Blur 60 gram shaft, available in X, S, R and M flexes. The 360° graphics mean the visuals look the same regardless of the position of the shaft. 
Because of the flight control technology on offer the TaylorMade R11 driver is only available in 9° or 10.5° models. However, these heads can then be set 1° higher, 1° lower or 0.5° up or down.
